So Long 2012

The last day of another year arrived.

Most people tend to be recalling all the memories they had over 2012. It could be the good ones or the bad ones. Some also are working out on their resolutions for 2013. But nevertheless, the year of 2012 has been up and down for me, but I survived bravely. The cloud below pretty much sums up my 2012, at least those that I could recall.

I won't be listing out any resolutions. In fact, i don't really think I have thought of any. But I do know what my directions should be for 2013. But I'll keep it to myself.

Anyhow, I would like to thank those who have been through 2012 with me, those who was there with me when I was so lost and down, those who celebrate and cheers with me during my happy times. Looking forward to share more joy with you guys in 2013 and beyond that!

Happy New Year to all and Good Bye 2012.

12.12.12

Its been a while that i have been blogging, kinda lose touch with this habit. But since it's 12.12.12, probably have to wait for another 100 years to have another one, might as well jot down something. There's no 13.13.13 anyway.

Life has been good. No damage, no scars, it's good enough. Work is not bad too, but workload seems to be picking up quick. But all is well. =)

Dear July,

Since my big day falls on your month, I am not asking much.

Can I exchange my patience with your opportunities? Not too greedy right? System Barter works up there too right?

Please grant me on this. Thank you and much appreciated.

Your sincere,
July Boy

What on Earth...

The world has changed! People are going crazy and seems like the world is self destructing even without the comet hitting us.

My mom's handbag got stolen today. It seems to be a common case here, but i can't believe this happened in the temple. This happened while she was doing her prayers routine. She left her bag beside her left leg and start to pray with her eyes closed. While praying, she couldn't find the inner peace and felt something wrong which lead her to open her eyes and look for her bag. The next thing she noticed it's gone and saw a guy suspiciously left the temple with both of his arms clutch together. She was into her shock and did not chase after that fella. I was at the other end, and was too late for me to chase him when i found out what happened.

I curse that bastard whole life only have that small little amount of money that was stolen from my mom to use, doubt he will last for a year.

See, i try to look into a more positive way whereby i think that guy is in serious desperation. So let it be a donation for him. But i think that it's disgrace that one did not even put God into consideration, and commit a crime in front of God. Went to speak to the sergeant, she also said that nowadays alot of people has no God, the evil has took them away. This is sickening.

Guys, please stay alert out there. Not to scare you guys, but like what Murphy's law said, 'anything that can go wrong will go wrong'.

Hope all is well for everyone!

Life of Ours

Woke up early today, not a very common case in my current lifestyle, and somehow feels like jotting down something here. So here I am.

I really starting to miss my uni times, really. Despite all the rough nights of assignments and revisions, I actually think it's still fun. Hanging out after class, random dinner plans, random movie plans, futsal in between classes, futsal after classes, futsal tournaments, skip class if you don't feel like going it, skip class if you can't find a parking, group study end up chatting most of the time, organizing outings, events, trips and the fun list goes on. Life without much responsibility is so much better.

But oh well, people are like that. When we were back in the uni period, we said the same too whereby we miss secondary school life. So what does this actually tells? The younger we are, the more happy we are? Think about it through chronologically, and it seems like it. I have recently attended one talk by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar from India and I remember he said something which caught me thinking for a while. He said that when we are a baby, we tend to be 100% happy, but when we grow on to elder children, our happiness tend to drop to 80%, and 70% when we were adolescent, and 50% when we are an adult, and this will goes on. Its so true that the older you are, the more you think, the more it makes you less happy.

Also, i have seen news in the papers recently that there are so many old folks are going through depression. Suicidal over another suicidal. All are very similar where they think that they are a burden to their younger generation and choose to let go their life and take away the burden from their child's shoulder. There's a case where a grandma killed her sick husband and tried to commit suicide but failed and now she is sentenced to death penalty at her 70ish, such a waste. Another ex-headmaster grandpa, wrote a suicidal note wishing his child to be happy and took away his life. You can see that how deep is their sadness deep down their heart.

Oh well, such is life. We all should just learn to live. Learn to live a better life.

Btw, i swear i did not think of blogging about this topic. The idea just came while i was typing. I have no idea what leads me here.

A Winner's Word

"We never stopped believing and that is why we have won the trophy. Even when Steven missed his penalty I said to him we would still get back into it as there were a number of penalties to be taken."
- Dirk Kuyt, 2012 -

That's what the winner said, "Believe won us the trophy".

I think it does not only apply to football, but in general, in reality. Keep faith, and don't stop believing. One day, you will win your trophy.

Happy Dragon Year!

Hello people, it's abit overdue, but Happy Chinese New Year. May the year of water dragon brings you all health, love and happiness. I personally these are the most essential elements that one should possessed, it somehow links to other rather minor elements, you figure it out.

Chinese New Year has been great so far. It's tiring, but it's nice to see some people who you doesn't get to meet often. Spring cleaning was crazy, but it's worth the craziness after seeing how clean is the house.

Anyway, having been a local lad who has no kampung to head back during festive season, i do have some time to look through my facebook during CNY to see how's everyone doing at their kampung. I came to observed that nowadays alot of people does not appreciate the time spent with their family or closed ones. I can see people posting on their wall complaining how boring it is to be back at their kampung, complaining angpow value is outdated from market value, complaining that it's annoying that relatives been asking same question over and over again.

Besides complaints over complaints, the only thing they could boast is the quantity of angpows that they received, how much money they won from gambling. I think these people just don't see the meaning of CNY anymore. It's not all about just being present during reunion dinner, it's not about receiving angpows during house visitation. The whole concept of CNY is to reunion with your beloved ones during a brand new year and cherish the moment of togetherness.

Seriously, alot of people does not know how to cherish the person around them until they lose them. Thus, i really urge everyone live the present and appreciate the people around you. You might not know what is going to happen on the next day. Just like how people saying that the world will comes to an end in 2012. You might not know if it's gonna be happening or it's not.

Really, read up the true meaning of CNY and celebrate it!

Cheers.

Horny

Well, most of u guys who knows me well already know my infamous nickname called "Horny". This is purely because those who are narrow minded simply imply my last name 'Horn' as 'Horny'. Oh well, i am already used to it.

Why i suddenly came into my mind to blog about this is because it's just too funny to look at how ppl wish me during my birthday while i was cleaning my desk and found some birthday cards that i received.

Here are some of them for your entertainment. Sharing is caring, so i don't mind to share!

"Dear Horny, Happy Birthday" - the most common ones
"Happy Birthday, come suck my horn!" - wtf?
"XXX wishing the best for the coming horny years" - -____-
"May the horny spirit live on...!" - Amen
"May Allah S.W.T be with the horny one now and forever" - Ya Allah
"You'll always have friends in us! P/S - just don't spread your horny disease to us all! haha, just kidding." - FML

Okay, these are only based on one card. I'm sure there are many more, it's somewhere in my desk.

This last one is the best one.

Cheers and have a good weekend!

Players That I Wished but Never Played in EPL.

Having been an EPL fan for so many years, it's regret to see that some of the players did not make it to any of the EPL teams. I personally think it would be great if these players that i hoped they have joined an EPL team, but unfortunately some are just impossible and some and very unlikely.

Here are a few that i wished they play/played in EPL, just my own opinion.

1. Ronaldo

Nope, not Christiano. I meant THE Phenomenon, Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima. How could u resist to see a three times FIFA World Player of the Year to play in a notable best league in the world? I personally think his skills, finishing and once-upon-a-time's pace could easily kill off opponents. Hence, he definitely has to be in the list.

2. Ronaldinho

Another Brazilian who did not make it to England, so close but yet so far. Who wouldn't want Ronaldinho to play in their league? I would say that he is just a pure entertainer, with class. I
love to catch his games when he was still at his prime. Now that his performance already going down the slope, and he chose to go back to his home country to play. Guess the chances of him to feature in EPL is pretty slim.

3. Pavel Nedved

This Czech is one of those unsung hero that definitely can fit into any team. I used to look up at him to pick up some of his movement as an attacking midfielder back then, and it was pretty helpful tho. I always hope that one day he will sign for Liverpool, but unfortunately he is just another loyal player who spent most of his career with Juventus and retired at 2009.

4. Alessandro Del Piero

This Italian reminds me of Gianfranco Zola. If Zola can make his name in EPL, why not Del Piero? He has been with Juventus since 1993 and it has been confirmed that he will be playing his last season in Italy this year. Let's hope his passion of football drive him to play at least a year in England and let every EPL fans to experience his magic. But then again, he is already 37 this year. Let's see.

5. Francesco Totti

Another loyal Italian who spent 19 seasons in Italy. I just love his vision and passing. Xabi Alonso did reminds me of Totti, but with lesser goals. Well, some female EPL fans would definitely hope to see another hottie to join the EPL.

6. Zinedine Zidane

The French Maestro is such a legend. His skills, his vision, his technique and many more are just fantastic. It was really a waste that he did not play in the EPL as he has so much quality to add in to the league. If he did, maybe Arsenal would fit him in as there were so many French back then.

7. Sameul Eto'o

He was and still is one of the best striker in my opinion, he definitely will be in my dream team if you would ask. Unfortunately he has played most of the big clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan, but none of them are an English team. Currently he has made a huge money transfer to a Russian team and still scoring goals just like Russians drinking Vodka. He is already at his peak now, with a not-so-promising team. Let's just hope that he is bored with his Russian stint and decided to move on to England, considering he still has his standard there.

8. Kaka

Adding to Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, another talented Brazilian that have not played in the EPL. There's still a possibility of him playing in the EPL since he has not reach 30 yet, there's still a chance for him to be transferred in the next 3 to 5 years. Hopefully, his talent could come on board to England, wonderful player he is!

9. Raul

When Benitez was in charge of Liverpool few years back, I did hope that he could bring him in to the Spanish revolution that he was building. Unfortunately, he was too loyal with his boyhood team, Real Madrid until he was released by the team due to his age. Now that he decided to moved to Germany, thus very unlikely that he will be moving to any clubs at the age of 35.

10. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Swedish sensation. I definitely can see him topping the goal-scoring chart every season if he did play in the EPL. Same case as Kaka, he still has another 3 to 5 years to move to EPL before he is too old for the pace of EPL. Let's just hope he does.
